Is LLC right for me?

I want to setup my own company, i work on computers and websites. i would like to work out of my home so that also i can use the deductions of a home office. Im Married and I have once child. Would LLC be the right choice for my company? also where would i start to actualy get setup as a LLC... all these websites just tell me scam like stuff.. i want to know who i should see in my township / city of Fair Oaks, CA
