Who sings the song that was played in the background on American Idol tonight (Premiere 2010)?

I've heard a piece of it before, and it sounded like the lyrics were "When she stays she stays" or something like that. It might have had a la di da or something in there, I was in a really noisy place and couldn't hear. Anyways, I heard what sounds to be like the same song. its a male and sounds like ryan adams or jason mraz or maybe even kris allen. Someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I have to have this song!!
