Are you required to know how to cook to take culinary arts major in college?

i actually asked this question before but some of the answers were vague so i rephrased it :) i'm a beginner knowing only some basics of cooking but i love to eat and taste new kinds of food and to learn how it was made. it's my pion but sadly i don't know how to cook i really want to know if i can take it as a major i'm graduating high school soon.
