Could this be the month? When should I take a pregnancy test?

I have very irregular cycles and I have went months without a period before. The past few months I have had roughly 21 day cycles with short and extremely light periods. This cycle I had a heavy 17 day period with brown spotting the two first and last days. Yesterday I got a positive ovulation test which was cycle day 38, yes 38, using clearblue digital ovulation test. And my husband and I have been BD'ing! and will be for the next few days. If I am pregnant when will I experience symptoms? and being as I dont really know when my period should start when should I take a pregnancy test?
