I think he likes my best friend!!!?

Okay well my friend and I like the same guy, but I like him more than she does, because a lot of guys she likes likes her. But I was really sure that this guy liked me cause he would flirt/talk with me, but now he avoids me and talks/flirts with her and like when we are in a group he pays more attention to her than me. I mean he told me to skip homeroom with him (which i did) and on this one cold day we were snuglling with eachother and his homeroom was downstairs and mine is upstairs so he would go with me .It really bothers me. Now he just kinda avoids me, i mean he'll look at me for a little. He is all like "mady you forgot to give me a hug" nd like he held her leg nd flirted with her. He is shy so he doesnt really talk that much, just listens or does things physically.I dont know what to do or what i did wrong. please help me
