Whats up with skateboarding lately?

Ok so I have been skateboarding for the past 4 years now. I skate a mix of old and new school tricks, my favorite tricks are the boneless, tre flip, kick flip and ollie large gaps and ledges. All the skaters more into old school call me a poser for doing newer tricks like tres and kick flips and the kids more into the newer tricks say I should stop doing my hand planet and street grabs and just do flip tricks. Is it really a crime that I like both? I just enjoy skateboarding simple and I don't care how anyone skates as long as do it. What is up with this lately?
